THE BLIZZARD OF 2015



THE GOVERNOR HAS DECLARED A STATE OF EMERGENCY  !!

While there are over 1000 closings for today, and the possibility of power
outages are high with 40 - 70 mph winds.  Everything is shut down.

We are in the house staying warm.

ANOTHER FIRST

Boy have we been busy.

We took the kids to our local Chinese restaurant for their
luncheon buffet. Gabriel's first time there and he loved it.
Of course he lovess food !!!    Unfortunately his eyes were
bigger than his belly. The girls favorite is vegetable lo mein.

Rebekah is starting to have extra therapy to help her build muscles.
She is doing great with her feeds and is gaining  about 2 lbs a month.

With in the last two weeks I have told the visiting nurse, the feeding team,
and our CDS team that we are still waiting for the ENT referral. hoping they
will advocate for that. I usually call once a week to remind the doctors office.
well, yesterday I got the call for her appointment in FeBRUARY.
Kinda excited to be moving forward with that.

We had Rohana's IEP yesterday.  I let my voice be heard for my daughter !!!
They will be changing some things !!  TKY

Looking at these four children and feeling so blessed.
The past 4 years have been amazing.
So want to adopt again !!!

BOWL FOR THE LIGHT

We took the kids ( all 6 ) bowling.

 Not just any bowling, it was bowl for the
light night at our local bowling ally. Which
means they play Christian music and put on black lights, etc.

All the kids (even the really big ones) had a great time !!

It is pretty awesome when loud music(Christian) is playing and your kids

are singing along with the song and its even awesome when your sing

the songs at church when they do not know a lot of English.

 

2015

Wow, what a year 2014 was.
Looking back I am amazed !
We had some good times and some really ruff times.
And all I can say is:
 
GOD IS GOOD !

I am praying that we continue to 
grow in our Faith, hope and love.

After cleaning the church today we decided that since
it is a new month and a new year that we should get
some pizza and soda for dinner. While the children and
I waited in the van for daddy at Walmart. Hrutuja said
"we should adopt one more girl and one boy" I said
" ya, we could probably fit one more bed in each room"
We never really finished the conversation. Later, I over heard
her selling her plan to daddy " that she wants to adopt a little
(meaning younger) brother and sister and that we could fit one
more bed in each room." Daddy said "I do not know."

It was nice to have Austin home with us at dinner time.

Looks like we are going to finally get some snow on Sunday !!


WELCOME   2015

CHRISTMAS DAY

We opened gifts and had breakfast with my oldest
daughter and her family and my mom and sister.

After 3 days of rain and 3 nights of Rebekah not
sleeping well.  Everyone needed to get out of the
house. So being Christmas day everything is closed,
well almost everything. And living in a tourist town we decided to visit
some tourist spots..

Like Wells Beach where the tide was really HIGH !
We have taken the kids to the beach a lot but the tide has never
been this high.

The water is almost up to the road.

We went to Perkins Cove.

We took a short walk on the Marginal way.


To see the awe or excitement in these kids faces when they
discover or see something new is just awesome. Or to hear a
new word spoken from one of them.

Soo BLESSED on this Christmas day and every day.

PARADE

YAY,  we made it to the Christmas parade !!!

         we arrived there early so we could set up our chairs

                                      It was Gabriel's first live parade and boy was he excited !
                                      Rohana loved the costumes and floats, Hrutuja wanted the
                                      candy.  We usually take the kids to see the fourth of July
                                      and Christmas parades.  Yesterday was really heart warming
                                      to see the joy and happiness on their faces.

                                                     This was how happy he was !!!!
                                          He loves being in America and going to school.

                                        That pictures also shows how happy I am with all
                                     the blessings that God has given us.The chance to change a
                                       life for a child.       It's not all roses, sometimes we have our
                                       hard days but we get thru them.

BIRTHDAY

WOW, 13 days until Christmas.        Jesus's Birthday !!

                                            I do not have a picture of the Birthday cake yet.

This is not what I had planned for Christmas. I wanted to start new
Christmas tradiotions this year by going to a lot of tree lighting's and town
celebrations but because of weather and a child with Lissencephaly kinda
changes everything. Praying that we can have good weather on Sunday for
the Christmas parade.

I am having trouble getting motivated to get Christmas shopping going.
oh, ya... Christmas cards are not mailed out yet...... oiy, oiy

I am happy that I have not scheduled ANY  appointments
during Christmas vacation.... just play dates.
