REPORT #3

Our last visit with our Social worker is this Saturday.
Our 6 months of being a family of 7 is June 3.
Since getting home from our Europe field trip I have been
thinking about adoption. The whys, the good, the bad...
My plans (GODS PLAN ?)
I am amazed that when I joke about adopting at least 5 more
kids our older children get right into picking the gender of
the next children ??   They actually get excited about it !!?
Adoption had changed our family in ways that you could not imagine.

Came across this on facebook.

OH MAMA'S SOUL

We listen to Positve 89.3 radio station a lot, especially when I
am in control of the radio.   Which is 99 % of the time.
Yesterday in the morning I thought I heard Hrutuja and Rohana
singing along with a song And then forgot about it until after dinner
When I heard Hrutuja sing "oh my soul" and then "oh mama's soul"
The song was 10,000 reasons by Matt Redman... She was singing
along with the radio.    How awesome is that !!
She loves music and going to Church.

Last night when I saw Rohana looking at a Dr. Seuss book pretending
to read it I walked over to her and showed her that she can read by
making the sounds that the letters say.. She was so excited.
She has done a lot of things that she was never suppose to do.

Well the teenager and myself are leaving Friday for our trip
to Europe.  We are getting excited !!
We are going to visit Italy and Greece that the disciple Paul visited and
writes about in the Bible.  As well as  visit Athens, Macedonia, and Rome as
he also did.  Amazing journey.

PACKAGE

I received a package in the mail this past week and was going
to post about it but I seemed to misplace the xtra photo card for
my camera. Mondays are always busy so I figured I will come
across it soon. As the week went on I kept finding things that
little hands has stashed in certain places that are not hers....

Anyways this was in my package:
A shirt that says:     EVERY PERSON MATTERS
SAVE A GIRLS LIFE IN INDIA
I do not know who purchased this shirt for me but  " THANK YOU !!"

Sad that we can not adopt from India again. But there are girls and boys that
matter in every Country that need loving families.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY

PARTNERSHIP

Show Hope Announces Partnership with Tim Tebow Foundation

SHOW HOPE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH TIM TEBOW FOUNDATION

Alliance Creates Greater Awareness and Provides Assistance for Families of Special Needs Adoptions

Show Hope 10 Year LogoTim Tebow Foundation
Nashville, Tenn. (April 3, 2013) – Show Hope™, a nonprofit orphan care ministry founded by GRAMMY® award winning Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, is honored to announce a partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation that will raise awareness and provide assistance for families, who have a desire to adopt children with special needs.
“We are privileged to combine our efforts with funds provided by the Tim Tebow Foundation to aid thousands of waiting children with special needs,” said Scott Hasenbalg, Executive Director, Show Hope. “With this assistance, we can help to remove the financial barrier that exists for many families. We celebrate the thousands of children that Show Hope has helped through the miracle of adoption, but the truth is, the need is great. Together, we will help make adoption a reality as we continue to transform the lives of many children with special needs.”
Show Hope believes that the millions of waiting children around the world should not be left as orphans. By collaboratively addressing their needs, this partnership will have a life-changing impact in illuminating the need for families to adopt children with special needs and by helping to place these children from across the globe with forever families. Additionally, families will be awarded with financial grants to help them overcome the high cost of adoption.
"We are so excited to be able to partner with Show Hope in providing financial assistance to these families who are courageously adopting children with special needs," said Erik Dellenback, Executive Director, Tim Tebow Foundation. "We believe this program is a great way to share God's love and it ties perfectly to our mission to bring Faith Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."
In helping to shape an adoption-friendly culture, the goal is to come together through this alignment to raise awareness and provide assistance for families to adopt children with special needs and make it a viable option for many to build their families.
Since Show Hope’s inception ten years ago, monetary donations to their Adoption Aid Program have helped to provide more than 3,500 waiting orphans with forever families through financial grants. Additionally, hundreds of orphans with special needs have received the medical care they so desperately needed through Show Hope's Special Care Centers in China. Yet, millions of orphaned children are still waiting for a forever family.
“Ten years ago we began this ministry because the need outgrew what we were blessed to do by ourselves,” explains Steven Curtis Chapman. “We always believed we can do more by working together and we are thrilled to be working with Tim and his foundation – we believe this is the start of life change for many special needs orphaned children in the months and years to come.”
Approximately 1,000 families apply annually to Show Hope for adoption assistance. Often, families are willing to welcome a child into their home, but are unable to afford the high cost, which averages $25,000 per adoption. Due to the lack of funding, more than 8,000 grant requests have been turned away since Show Hope was founded in 2003. With the financial support from the Tim Tebow Foundation, Show Hope can help more children through grants, which will be awarded in the average amount of $7,000 to $10,000 to each family. With an initial contribution given in December, a hundred percent of the donations received from the Tim Tebow Foundation will go directly toward special needs adoptions. As a result, about 10 to 14 additional families will receive grants on an annual basis.

THIS IS GREAT NEWS FOR FAMILIES WHO NEED FINANCIAL HELP !!!!

FAIRYTALE

I remember landing in India and just breathing in the aroma of India that  I
remembered. It also stimulated my thoughts about a journey we made
a couple years before for our first daughter.
Thinking.... tomorrow we will meet our newest daughter.
I do not know how many Adoptive parents have mixed emotions right
before or after meeting their newest child. This time I did not, I was
at peace with this adoption. Just an amazing journey which does not end
at the "got ya day" but continues thru out his / her life.  And it can be ruff
at times (what, no fairy tale?) but with everything time and LOVE will heal.

Tomorrow will be 4 months since first meeting this beautiful girl

This adoption almost did not happen, we were denied NOC by CARA.
I do not know if it was about income or number of children we already had?
but I do think we got our fairytale with this adoption though.
Sometimes I wonder if our inexperience made the first adoption seem harder
and our experience made this adoption seam like a fairytale.
Maybe just the Hand of GOD.   thank you

Hrutuja is one of our many Blessing.  Still amazed, sooo blessed

CANCELLING

I emailed my teacher for my SB-BHP class. Letting her know
that I would not be able to make it to class this morning.
You see my little Ro has a cold with the fever, junk
coming out of her nose and she just does not feel well but
she did perk up a little when I told her she was staying home
with mom and Hru today.   heeem, she does looks miserable.
I also had to miss mom's Bible Study. Did not want to share
anything with another child. And then I remembered to call
hippotherapy and let them know that Ro would not be there today.
Sissa did drop by after lunch with stickers and toys for the
girls. They are always excited to see her.
Just a weird day of cancelling everything.
Even my husband is on a trip for work.

I will receive my Certificate for my class in the mail within
30 days.....Passed my exam with a  96.   YES !

On to getting ready for Europe...

HAVE A BLESSED DAY !!!
