CARDIAC EVENTS

On the 8th got a phone call that no one wants to get.
My father drove himself to the hospital (early am) because of chest
pains. They checked him out and were going to release him when
his heart just stopped, he fell to the floor. They got his heart beating
again and sent him to Maine Medical Center. Where 24 hours later
his heart stopped again. A very emotional and stressful time.
He is currently in Rehab.

Rebekah's IEP meeting with Child Developmental Services was full
of we are short staffed, I'm not sure about equipment from inventory
or purchasing it ??  She has a lot of  unmet needs.

Met with yet another home study agency because we need an agency to
write the 2 year Post Placement  Reports for Rebekah and Gabriel.

We were suppose to go away for a week,  ha,ha   Cancelled !
We did get our deck fixed and stained ! And the shed cleaned out.

Took the kids to The Children's Museum in NH.

And at the end of the month my mom had a stroke.

SHE HAS LISS

LOVE THIS GIRL  !!

She is developing a personality and she
lets you know when she does not like something.
And she smiles so much when I talk to her.

She loves to be outside and go bye-bye.

Little one usually get down to her level and hug, kiss or talk to her.
Our grand daughter calls her "KAKA" because she can't say bekah yet.
So when Rebekah coughs she says  " kaka ok, kaka, ok ?"

This blessing has really opened our eyes to what we thought we could not handle.
Had we known that she had Lissencephaly (honestly) we would of turned her
file down.
This roller coaster is slowing down. In a couple months she will have lived with us
for the same amount of time that she lived in China. I am still amazed by her daily !!
I am always trying to be brave and pick her up with all the wires and tubes that end up
attached to her. Well the other night during her dinner feed she was fussing so I
picked her up and accidentally pulled her mic-key button out. Amazingly we stayed
calm and put a new one in ... :)
Because of her Lissencephaly she feeds by g-tube and it can get messy,
6 times a day,she has airway therapy at least 3 times a day, she has a nebulizer
at least 2 times a day,she takes seizure meds twice a day to which they say her
seizures will never be controlled. This leaves her very scheduled !!!!
Doctors, we see a Cardioligist, Neurologist, ENT, Pulmonary doctor, GI doctor,
Primary care doctor, Aerodigestive clinic, and a dentist.
All of which I was scared to death of  before bringing her into our family.

" LIFE BEGINS WHEN YOU STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE"

Here I am God, ready to serve the least of theses again.

There will never be a right
     time for us to do this;
There will always be a
         reason not to.
There are kids out there that
       need you now.

JANUARY

Can't believe that January is almost over.

On the 3rd, Rohana fell and broke her humerus bone. Not funny
poor kid. She doesn't try to protect herself when falling so she
landed on her arm. So sling for 3 weeks.  Argggg

The 6th was our 20th Wedding Anniversary.
We always talked about going away for a week on our 20th.
Some place hot, walk the beach..........
That was before we had Rebekah so we got one night away.
Hubby bought flowers, a card, candy..... awww
The restaurant we decided to go to for dinner  was not a good
choice for service and food ...
Hubby says " I am glad it is not me that is ruining your night."
we talked a lot, too cold to go for a walk (winter in Maine)
The fire alarm went off in the am..  We did have a great lunch together.

A week later Hrutuja, Rebekah and I are fighting a cold/ virus ??
Hrutuja was home for a whole week because of her temperature
On the 21st I took her to the Doctors , she has a ear infection.
So the next day I took Rebekah in to get her ears checked and
while there her oxygen was in the 70's.. another ambulance ride to
Maine Medical Center. Lets just say " not my favorite place"
I switched places with hubby on Sunday to get home to have the
furnace go out... call the furnace guy..by 3 am it was out again.
Switched places with Hubby around dinner time .
I stayed at the hospital with Rebekah and woke up during the night
intense pain so off to ER for me.  ha, ha
Stay hydrated was what I was told.
The next day Rebekah and I went home.

Blessing or a curse ??
growing me, perseverance

Praying for a different kind of February

ha, ha at 1 pm on Saturday (30th) the electricity flickered ???
something fried on our pole so no electricity until 5 pm.
WOW, I have a child on oxygen and feeds by G-tube pump,
airway vest therapy ??

Then on Sunday when we went to church the furnace was out ??

HAPPY NEW YEAR

HAPPY 2016

Christmas Eve we had an candle light service at our Church.
I was holding back the tears as I watched Rebekah smile and shake
her head to the music and coo ing.
We have seen some small gains in the last couple weeks. She is turning
herself all the way around in the crib,
Praying that her seizures are under control.

Christmas day Nana & Papa came over for dinner. The little's love playing games.
The next day we had a huge family gathering at my Nephews house.
We went to chuck E Cheese with all our children and Brooke.

Monday night we actually got SNOW !! about 5 or 6 inches.
They did go out and play while it was snowing and the next day.
Mom fit in a sick day so it was tv for the kids and rest for mom.

mom bought a village to decorate (gingerbread village)

Which they will eat after breakfast the next morning.

Today the first day of the new year, we will watch the parade and football.

I have really watch these children this winter break.
Realizing how they have grown and changed. Just awesome.

Feeling so blessed .
