GAINED

Baby has not been sleeping well, She keeps waking up during the night
crying.  She does not usually cry , so I know something is up.
I was wondering if has another ear infection so I took her to the Doctors.
Results; No fever, no ear infection but she does has fluid in one ear and
they will not give her anything until it becomes infected.............!@#?
Anyways, NO  sleep for this mom until her ear gets better..
The good news I did receive at the doctors office was that Rebekah gained
11 oz. since her operation (13 days) !!  I had her weigh her 3 times.

Friday, we went to the GI doctor who said "what ever I am doing it is working
so keep doing it"  Rebekah will not  be getting a G tube right now.

Maybe, I am just expecting the worse ......... GOD IS GOOD !!!

TIME FLYS

WOW,  no post for 10 days ??

Now to catch up.
Rebekah is doing well but sounds congested.
We now have an 18 year old in the house now. !!

Cheesecake and a thanksgiving dinner was the birthday boys birthday choice.
All was very yummy !!
I also had a birthday 3 days later.   oooohh   50th !!
What does 50 feel like ??    I still juggle 2  Infant car seats at a time.

Because our grand daughter Brooke visits every Wednesday.  Yes I see the plug not
covered far left but neither one of these girls crawl yet and one of them may never. !

Rebekah new help me mold and hold chair.

Gabriel has new glasses that I let him pick out himself and he now has
orthodics in his shoes now to help his ankle.  Maybe eye patching and AFO
down the road for him,  Sorry no pictures ???
At his IEP meeting this morning all the teachers said he is a wonderful boy,
He is eager to learn and his happiness is contagious. His class (3rd grade)
mates have embraced him.   Last week in the lunch room they were having
Chinese / American food which came with fortune cookie so the kids were
asking Gabriel what the Chinese caricature was. they all think it is awesome
that he is from a different country.

BLESSED IN SO MANY WAYS !!

PLUGGED

Yesterday, Rebekah and I got up @ 5 am to drive to the Hospital.
She is having her Patent Ductus Arterious  plugged today.
We arrived at 6 am , signed in went to her assigned room.
By 7:45 they came to take her up stairs. They said it would take
about two hours because the Doctor couldn't really see how
big or small because her lungs were hiding it.
About 1 1/2 hours my beeper went off.. Everything went well,
she is in recovery and they will come get me in an hour or so to
be with her. They gave her unthickened pedalite after she woke up ?!
I am sure her file should read honey thick liquids and food.
When we went up from recovery Daddy was waiting
in the room. We fed her her seizure meds with thickened apple juice.

A little while later she vomited... So we waited a hour and tried to feed
her again. She held that down. Daddy had to leave to go pick the other
children up from school. Doctor said she should be ready to go home around 4.
At 4 I started feeding her dinner which she vomited.. uugg
The Doctor came in around 5:30 and suggested that we spend the night.
What a night.
The meds they gave Rebekah earlier were outdated.  RN called down to the pharmacy
and they do not have any other meds for Rebekah. I do carry a couple extra in the diaper bag.
RN had to take my extras down to get the pharmacy to verify that it was the correct meds.
She picked up some thickened liquids. Around 9 pm we got fluids and meds into Rebekah.
She slept thru all diaper changes and stat updates. Her oxygen levels kept dropping.
But at 4 am my spunky little girl was ready to eat ! She was ready to be held without
all these wires hooked up to her.
When the doctor came in @ 9 he said "we'll get you out of here asap !!

Here she is ready to go home.
