EXCITING IDEA

When asked what NOC is , this was someones answer:

The No Objection Certificate issued by CARA, the central authority
in Delhi that oversees all intercountry adoptions out of India.
Only when you have the CARA NOC, can your attorney proceed to file
an adoption petition in the Indian courts. Once you've received the NOC,
you can also take fostercare custody of your child while waiting for legal
formalities to complete. (you'd have to reside in India during the period)

I realized: Oh my gosh, I can go to *ndia and hold and hug my baby girl !!
but then :         while waiting for legal formalities to complete
(you'd have to  reside in India during the period)

We are waiting for the court process and the RIPA to received the passport.
Which could be another 6 - 9 months (quoted by agency)
While an exciting idea i do not think my children and husband would
appreciate me being gone that long. Ok, Ok I would miss them also.
I need to stay here and continue to pray about the process.

THREE LETTERS

Three letters i love ..NOC..!!!
Our NOC was received today by our agency.
Yesterday, I said to Dave "I just have this feeling that
our NOC is here." But I did not hear anything from our
agency ?   Tonight we received a call from our agency, YES !
I am soo excited  !!
Praying we bring her home this year.

My husband is currently packing his things, another trip for work.

Blessed with another blessing from our awesome GOD !

NOC = No Objection Certificate from CARA

(Central Adoption Resource Agency )

Operates as part of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India and deals with all the matters concerning adoption in India.

Now on to the High Court !!

CHILL ZONE

Most of the time I like to avoid taking the kids with me
food shopping because it can be a big distraction.
You end up getting things not on the list and you feel bad
about saying "NO" to many times. I have at times sent each
child to get a certain items. That does seem to work better
but makes it take longer to get home.  So yesterday we needed
to get somethings at the food store so I told them if they were
good they could get a drink from the Chill Zone@Cumberland Farms !
While we were there we found out that it was FREE chill zone day !!!
So Rohana and I shared one and the boys got their own. Well it was
so hot that we drank them in a matter of mins. so we stopped again and
got another Free chill on our way home.. And we stopped again at another
Cumberland farms on our way to pick up our van from the Shop.
3 FREE Chill Zone drinks in 3 hours, that is a lot of Sugar !!
I was thinking after I probably should not of let them have that
much sugar but Nathan was so excited "What an awesome day,
three free drinks that i liked."
Remember that day we got free Chill Zone drinks..............
make the memories good ones.

RECORD HEAT

It's another HOT day here in Maine.
Daddy took the day off and we went swimming for
a couple hours. It was awesome to see how Rohana
is not afraid of the water and is ok walking on dirt.
but she still gets cold the minute she gets wet.
We stopped for Shaker Pond Ice cream on the way home.
We are currently sitting in the nice air conditioning until
later when we go see a Seadogs game tonight, with
fireworks after.

Some families who are adopting from I*dia have
received their NOC this week !!

(rumor) NOC

Verbally told that we have passed our appeal and that
we have been granted NOC !!!!   We can get excited
after the RIPA tells us that they have received the paper.
It is exciting knowing that we are moving.  Once the
RIPA receives the NOC paperwork they can start the
Court process over there. The High Court is open.

With all the changes in the process and country right
now it is hard to figure out our timeline and how
long we will have to be in country. (everything changes)

More exciting news on the home front. Two members of
our family will be going to Spain, Greece & Italy in the
spring of 2013 with other students and parents of Austins
school.   Right now I am planning on Austin and myself
going but I know how planned things can change.

I will be praying for Austin today as he starts his first job.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AND KEEP PRAYING FOR
ALL ADOPTIVE FAMILIES IN THE PROCESS.

ORTHOPAEDICS

Today was Rohana's appointment with her orthopaedic doctor.
Dr.. Melkonian  at Children's Hospital Boston.
This is her ONLY favorite doctor.

REPORT: She is doing great, she still has to wear her brace for
another 6 months (23 hours a day). She will then get another
new brace at that time. "I know summer is here, just try to get her to
wear it as much as possible... she can take it off to go swimming." !!!
We went to Florida (on vaca) and she had a cast on, so no swimming
and no playground because she had to walk in beach sand to play.
we were told "no beach sand in the cast"
She will be going to Summer school again this summer.
This past week she is walking up stairs with out holding on to anything
and she goes to the rest room all by herself. woohoo, such a big girl !!

Even with all the extra things we have to do doctor appointments,
meetings, travel, therapies, etc  We are so Blessed to have her.

Still no news !!

CALGONE

Needless to say that my last post (a week ago) We did not
make it to Church last week because right before we left,
The teenager realized that there was something wrong when he
attempted to come up stairs. About 2 inches of water on the floor !
I guess the washing machine lost it's hold.   We spent the rest
of our holiday weekend sucking up water and pulling up rugs in
all the rooms down stairs. Not to mention the rest of the weeks
daily wrong happenings. Friday I noticed the side window of the
car had shattered ? I intended to have a awesome 40th birthday party
for my husband but lost my excitement for it when I had to go to Lowes
to get parts for our new washing machine (another long story).
Oh, Calgone take me away !!!
My husband said " the things that happen to distract us from
what we are really waiting for."

STILL, NO NEWS ON THE ADOPTION FRONT !

I am ready for a good week and some great news.
Oh, we did get good news Friday, Dave was picked for a trip !
